Midnight Sky Handspun Boyfriend Scarf! =)

It`s been quiet on this front lately, but I am keeping busy with spinning. And now I finally have a finished project to show you! *yay*

It is the Midnight Sky Handspun Boyfriend Scarf - knit in supersoft and silky handspun baby alpaca fiber from Upstream Alpacas. I love that fiber! I can`t get enough of that fiber! *lol*

I just C-O 60 sts on a 5 mm circular needle (40 cm long) and knit a tube untill I ran out of yarn. The 2 first and last rows were knit like this: k1, p1 throughout. I had a big ass skein of 530 meters and 229 grams, and the scarf is ca. 216 cm long. My boyfriend loves it so I am very happy! =)

Cigarettes & Violets? =)

Not that I have ever smoked, but I love the song Cigarettes & Violets by Jesse Malin. I can`t seem to find a video that is not a live recording, so the sound is not the best... =)

I had an idea of a shawl with the petals of a flower around the edge, and this is the first try. I am quite happy with it, but I am not a fan of the yarn... Everyone seems to love it, but I just can`t understand why... *lol*

Facts:

Usage: Wollmeise 100% Merino Superwash on 4,5 mm needles.

Materials: 51 grams lace weight yarn - tULLiBaLL`s I en tynn tråd; 4,5 mm needles.

I chose to block this shawl, and it is cool to see how different the same pattern can turn out using different yarns. =)

Ebba - Always In My Head Shawlette =)

I am SO happy with this little cloud of a shawl! =)
I used about 88 grams of my handspun Ebba&Polwarth - 1 thread dogswool from my sweetheart Ebba and 1 thread Polwarth - on 5,5 mm needles. I wanted a softer and more romantic edging on this shawlette, so I made a new edging with a crochet bind off on the Out Of My Head Shawlette. =)

The updatet pattern for the Out Of My Head (Lace) Shawlette is suitable for both lace weight yarns or for making a larger shawl in heavier yarn. It is your choice - and it is all in the same pattern-pdf! =)

... first thing you check online every day is this... *lol*

But they are SO cute! I saw them right after they picked their way out! *aaaaawww*


I have made a larger version of the Out Of My Head Shawlette this week. I am very happy with the result. The modified pattern will be available in a while. =)

Pattern: Out Of My Head Lace Shawlette.
Yarn: ca. 51 grams and ca. 450 meters of tULLiBaLL`s I en tynn tråd, 80% merino + 20% silk on 4,5 mm needles.









I blocked it like this:
